Show and Tell
Good mail seems to come in clumps around here. I'll go for weeks with nothing more interesting than a bank statement and then I'll hit a happy patch and something nice comes almost every day. Lately things have been pretty terrific in the mail department...
Hello. I totally rock.
Circular needle case from Dan of Spin | Knit. I won his blogiversary contest and I'm not ashamed to say that I totally played to win. You're kinda jealous, aren't you? Maybe he'll make some and put them in his shop if you ask nicely enough.
Sample-sized Soak packets from Chris in three promising-sounding scents (citrus, aquae, and a scent for celebration). I plan on doing a very faux-scientific review of these when I get a chance. Maybe next week? Everybody loves a good product test.
Rowanspun Aran, for the next big sweater project...which I'm already six inches into. Any guesses? Clues: it's for me, and it's cabled (what a shocker)!

Wow, that Rowanspun is a gorgeous color. I can't wait to see what it turns into!

The needlecase is a lovely win. I can't wait to see what you knit with the rowanspun as I have some in that colour too but just can't decide what to make with it.

Pretty yarn! I could have guessed you were using tweed yarn, and I could have guessed the design was cabled, but I can't guess what it is.

Lucky you! You'll love the SOAK -- the Aquae scent is probably my favorite. I got a bunch of those little sample packets last year at Stich 'n Pitch (right when they were launching the product, I think) and I've been selfishly hoarding them ever since, using them only for special and large projects. I haven't yet tried A Scent for Celebration, so I'll be interested in hearing how it smells.

Wow, good stuff! If you'd gotten my birthday giveaway as well it would've been a really good week! As you predicted about hand-sewn gifts though, I'm lagging on that bag. It probably won't go out until we get back from the honeymoon! I hope you don't mind. =)

That needlecase does rock. And hey, if you are going to play, you might as well play to win. So this project with the cables...details?

Cool! Enjoy!

A Scent for Celebration is my absolute favorite. It's limited edition but I hope they make it permanent because I can't be without it and could only afford the small bottle right now.
Enjoy!

That needle case is soooo pretty. Will you show us the inside? (Also, I can't remember if I commented or not, but Demi is awesome. I love the fittedness you ended up with!)

Is that the Gables colorway? I've been looking for a great project for my 6 hanks of that particular yarn for the whole summer. Can't wait to see what you pick!

I'm gonna guess Rogue, just because I bought that same yarn about a year ago intending to make a Rogue. Have I knit it yet? Not a stitch. However, I did recently wind all the yarn into balls, so that counts as progress, right? Right?
