Feeling Toadly

Just checking in to keep you up to speed on all things Elliphantom:

1) Last night I finally finished Thunk’s sweater. I won’t have the chance to take any pics until this weekend, so you’re just going to have to wait.

2) I am only on the fourth row of my second squirrel mitten. I blame Thunk’s sweater.

3) I am sick. I have the sort of cough that makes people get up and move to the other side of the room. It’s not bad enough to keep me home from work, but it has been v. successful at getting sympathy from Thunk. The best part is that he’s been reading me to sleep from the latest Yarn Harlot book. Normally he won’t read me knitting-related books because they make me too excited and I won’t fall asleep.

In other news: I am grouchy. Grump, grump.

Here, have some needles.

That one with the heart is just too cute!

Awww, feel better!

I love that heart needle!
I hope you feel better soon :)

oh hope you feel better soon. Cheer up girl!

Poor Elli. You need some therapy of the yarn variety. Too bad you're not "sick" enough to stay home from work on Friday. I've the day off and I'm itching to buy some yarn.

(The thought of Thunk reading from Yarn Harlot is really making me giggle for some reason)

Boy, can I understand the sick/grumpy feeling. Being read to is wonderful though. Take care!

The weekend is coming and I hope you'll get better to enjoy it. Take care!

The heart needle! I want! I just got some peace fleece needles..,.you know the birch needles with the handpainted ball on the end, painted in Russia. I'm really liking needles with doodads on the ends of them...need to get some more!

I do hereby declare that you're staying home from work tomorrow. (Well, it's past midnight, so I guess that's "today").

are you home from work? sickie elli? maybe i'll call you later and cheer you up. but not if you're at work.

Update: Elli is currently sick in bed. I'm _certain_ that she'd enjoy a phone call from Krickie in the afternoon.

Aw! Get well soon. On the plus side, you are finally done with that sweater :)

I read about Thunk not usually reading anything knit-related to you before bed, and laughed so hard! The Kiwi has a 'no yarn porn before bed' rule because I won't sleep either - it gets me too worked up! How funny is it that our boys have learned this!?! Hope you're feeling better by now...
